Since Net::SMTP v1.28 (2014\-10\-08), Net::SMTP itself has support for \s-1SMTP\s0 over
\&\s-1SSL,\s0 and also for \s-1STARTTLS.\s0  Use Net::SMTP, not Net::SMTP::SSL.

Implements the same \s-1API\s0 as Net::SMTP, but uses
IO::Socket::SSL for its network operations. Due to
the nature of \f(CW\*(C`Net::SMTP\*(C'\fR's \f(CW\*(C`new\*(C'\fR method, it is not overridden to make
use of a default port for the \s-1SMTPS\s0 service. Perhaps future versions
will be smart like that. Port \f(CW465\fR is usually what you want, and it's
not a pain to specify that.
